My girlfriend and I visited Sunripe for the first time ever today, and it was fantastic! The fruits and veggies are incredibly fresh and well presented. There were samples for EVERYTHING, so we were able to taste a couple of different kinds of oranges before picking the ones we wanted. We'll definitely be buying our produce there from now on. It's a bit more expensive then your typical grocery store, but the quality is unmatched.
Visited this store yesterday with my mom and was pleasently surprised! The produce looks so colorful and fresh. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, and I loved the different sections, very appealing! I however did not like that a lot of the items didn't have labels and nutritional information. The prices also seemed slightly high on some products!
We shop at Sun Ripe Farms quite a bit and are generally quite happy with the quality of the produce but we do have a concern with the Mamma Rositta's Tortilla Chips that you might want to be aware of. The bag that is being used has a tendency to leach out an oil taste into the chips after a few weeks. This is the third time that we have noticed it and although we like the chips, it is a pretty significant issue. Try it for yourself! Leave the chips in the bag for a little while and then stick your nose in the bag... a petrochemical smell is evident. One time we even tasted it in the chips - and tossed the bag. A good product but ruined by the bag???
I find Sunripe like any specialty store a bit higher in price than the chains, but the quality is always great..
I generally find the produce fresh, however a bag of carrots was rotting inside when I opened it.
Also, the cash register came up with a different weight and a much higher price than was listed on the package of one other item. PS I wish more prepared foods and baked items had a Nutrition label for those of us watching saturated fat, trans fat and salt consumption for health reasons. I can't purchase them otherwise.
Whenever I travel to London I bring my cooler and buy my fruits and vegetables. Yes they are more expensive but believe me they last longer and stay fresh with very little loss in the fridge. All employees are very helpful! Just love your Coconut Macaroon Squares. Would love the recipe if it's allowed.
I have been going to Sunripe for about a year now, I work near by and like to pick up something for lunch. I've noticed that the prices have gone up on their soup/sandwiches/salads. Their Wicked Chicken Curry soup is the BEST, but, they have decided to add rice, which wouldn't be bad if they didn't cut back on the chicken and up the price. $7.50 for Soup... too expensive for me.
Ordered a cake for a bridal shower. Turned out beautiful and tasted fresh and delicious. Staff was helpful and courteous. Produce in unmatched. The best anywhere.
What are your hours of operation?????
Hours of operation would be good information
great quality produce and pre made food! Such a great environment, definitely worth the extra bus I have to take to get there!
been there often...love it always....beautifully presented. Always a wonderful experience
as long as you avoid meats that have grains(breading) you should be just fine
Love shopping at the store nice a fresh.I have Celiac disease, need gluten free foods. I am wondering if cooked meats are gluten free and football hams also Thank you June
awesome food, decent prices for the quality of the goods. nice staff. fresh produce. great variety.
Why buy at a grocery store when you got sunripe? if you haven't checked out this place u dont know what fresh is.
Amazing service and by far the best selection in fruits!!! highly recommend this place to anyone
If your looking for fresh, tasting, produce, fruit and meat. Then this is the place to go. You will not only find the best fruit but the ones that taste the best and are not spoiled. It may be pricey but would you rather spend a bit more or loose more in the fridge?
I am giving consideration to visiting Sunripe for the first time today. Having your hours obviously posted would be helpful. Thank you. Mary
Amazing service and wonderful food samples. Yes, upscale shopping but well worth it! It is one of the most enjoyable food shopping experiences of our time. I will continue to shop and Sunripe in London.
Does anyone know if sunripe has fresh turkeys for xmas and if so how much a lb thanks
Great place for good meat, fresh veggies and beautiful fruit !
This ia a great place. Lots of things to try - including fruits, dips, salads etc. My big regret is not finding this place sooner! Fantastic bread, vegetables, dips etc...
I find this shop to be overpriced but the quality is generally very good. I find it unfortunate more of the produce is not even close to being local. US cherrys when Arkona is in full swing? I get there are contracts with suppliers but this is not a large chain retailer. My biggest issue however is how incredibly pedestrian unfriendly this store is. No place to lock a bike in a huge largely empty parking lot. For a couple of hundred dollars a bike rack would be a welcoming feature. And when attempting to pack my goods at the checkout, I am pretty much forced to take the bags. If I refuse them, there is not adequate space to pack a knapsack. I feel as if I am not welcome to shop here. And as a result, I no longer frequent this place. Only takes me an extra few minutes to get to Covent Garden market downtown.
Are your turkeys organic? Are they raised in Ontario? This is important to a lot of people these days. I want to eat healthy.
One of my favourite things in London. Best produce, worth the prices. Best source for berries, pluots, clementines, oranges and tasty treats. More expensive than others but totally worth it.
Sunripe is the best place in London to buy produce! Everything is always so fresh and tasty. They also have a really great bakery with fantastic treats. Don't even get me started on the fresh orange juice! The prices are a bit higher than Loblaws or Metro, but I only shop for myself so I barely notice a difference. The quality is worth paying a couple dollars extra for!
Fish: Freezer burn on items not packaged. Also some cuts of fish are mis–identified. I believe this is not intentional but is simply a lack of knowledge. I'm a professional in food industry – 35 years experience – I write this only to encourage the store to get better training & improve this product line.
Just when I thought this place could not get any better, it did. I had decided not to buy one of their fabulous spiral hams for Easter this year. At about $50 and with just two of us for dinner on Easter Sunday, it seemed a bit extravagant. What did I find when I shopped Thursday? They had cut up some of the hams. I was able to buy a quarter for $12 - 13. Just the right amount. It did disappear quite quickly. I really respect how the owners always listen to customers and continually strive to get better.
I am surprised the ratings at so low. I would like to see fresh flowers every day or on certain days... I always make the trip and there are no flowers that day with no rhyme or reason. Food prices have doubled there in the last year but the quality is still great. A little more expensive the. remark sad to say. Last Yeats I would have give this store a 10 but lately I would give it a 6. Prices and selection are hard to find but the quality is great...
Good quality, overpriced however. Great presentation. Meat looks good but the guy workign in meats was condescending about price vs quality, kinda rude and turned us off. Won't go back.
Get over yourself.
An arrogant response to perceived arrogance. Funny.
Always have the freshest things !! So good just tryed there lazana and dip today and bought both they are so good!! I was just curious weather or not its all Canadian made products or. Organic or what , just curious !!:) but unreal store love it !!
Great produce. Very nice selection of prepared foods. Top quality meats. Very friendly staff.
My husband and I have purchased your meat pies in the past and have enjoyed them very much. We each had a pie tonight for dinner and my husbands steak pie was very good. My chicken pie on the other hand was not good at all. 80% of the pie was the pastry. There may have been 1 oz. of chicken very little vegetable and gravy. Without exaggeration you could have put the meat and vegetables in a 1/4 measuring cup and that would be extent of it. We no longer will be purchasing your pies. You may want to consider inspecting your goods before they go in the freezer or on the shelf for the consumer to purchase.Sheila and Vince NicolLondon, On.
If the pies are always good and you have one bad one, how can you stop buying them? I would try it once more at the least. If I was Sunripe I would be happy to have a customer like you never return.
